This year the Chesapeake Bay 10K has again partnered with the beautiful waterfront community of East Beach for the 7th running of the Chesapeake Bay 10K; now named the East Beach Chesapeake Bay 10K. We think you will all be pleased with the move to East Beach where life returns to a simpler time. A time when pedestrians were part of the landscape, and cars were not. A time when housing styles were diverse and interesting, neighborhood streets were smaller, sidewalks were everywhere, neighborhood shopping was within walking distance, and massive expanses of concrete and asphalt were nowhere to be found. A time when life — and everything about it — was simpler. East Beach. A simple life on the Chesapeake Bay.
Back this year is the Children's one mile!
Parents are encouraged to run along side and cheer for your favorite young runner (12yrs and under please).
Lee's Friends
KaleRunning is pleased to announce Lee's Friends as the charity for the 2010 East Beach Chesapeake Bay 10k & Children's Run. Lee's Friends offers person to person help and needed emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families who are facing the crisis of diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The T-Shirt will feature the Chesapeake Bay 10k logo on the front left and also a right sleeve graphic.
If you're not one of the first 600 to sign-up, you'll still receive a 6.1 weight, 100% cotton T-Shirt with race logo!
On top of the already fantastic offerings of this race, Chesapeake Bay 10K is proud to announce some great random prizes to be given away at the post race party.
Online registration will be open until Friday 3pm, and race day registration is available on site from 6:30am to 7:30am at the East Beach Bay Front Club.
Volunteers are still needed, and will be eligible for random prizes mentioned above. We need you! We accept individuals and groups.
